Math Roots Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 08/06/2026 | Last Updated: 08/06/2026
Math Roots (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use this website and when your district or school partners with us for mathematics professional learning.
1. Information We Collect
- Inquiry information: When you contact us through this site, we collect your name, work email address, the district or school you represent, your role, optionally your phone number, the approximate size of the cohort you are considering, and anything you write in the message field.
- Campaign source: If you arrive from an advertisement, we store which campaign brought you, in a cookie and alongside your inquiry.
- Usage data: Standard technical and analytics information about how this site is accessed and used.
- Partnership participant information: For districts and schools that engage us, we collect information about participating educators — such as name, school, role, and their work within our professional learning sessions and practice tools.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to partnership inquiries and schedule conversations
- Deliver, administer, and improve our professional learning programs
- Report progress and participation back to the district or school leaders who engaged us
- Measure program outcomes against the assessments a district already administers
- Understand which marketing efforts reach the right leaders
3. Educator Practice Tools and AI
Our facilitation practice application is an educator tool. Teachers rehearse math discussions with simulated AI students and an AI coach. We process the content of those rehearsal sessions to give in-the-moment coaching, to show district leaders participation and growth, and to improve the tool and our instructional methods.
We do not collect student data through this tool. The “students” in a rehearsal are simulated. Where we use session content to improve our models or methods, we work with de-identified data wherever feasible, and we do not sell it or share personally identifiable information with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Student Outcome Data
Program impact is measured using the diagnostic assessments a district already administers. Where a district shares outcome data with us, we ask for it in aggregate or de-identified form, we use it only to evaluate and report on program impact, and we handle it under the terms of the written agreement with that district.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate — for example, hosting, database, email, and analytics providers
- With the district or school leadership that engaged us, for reporting on their own program
- To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights
- With your explicit consent
6. Cookies and Analytics
This site sets cookies to remember which advertising campaign you arrived on, so we can show relevant messaging and understand which efforts work. We also use third-party analytics and advertising tools, including PostHog and the Meta Pixel, which set their own cookies and receive standard technical data about your visit. You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect information, including encrypted transmission and secure storage. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Data Retention
We retain inquiry information for as long as we are in contact about a potential partnership and for a reasonable period afterward. Partnership records are retained for the term of the agreement and any period required by that agreement or by law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and contractual obligations
- Ask us to stop contacting you at any time
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date above reflects the most recent version, and we will notify partner districts of material changes.
